Thanks & Giving 2007
Thanksgiving is never the same as it was when we were children, or
since we've lost loved ones, but I do hope your day is special...
To me, thanksgiving can *be* a happy day while we mourn our loss of
loved ones by remembering them and the wonderful times shared.
I have the antique wood stove going and just put my butternut squash
in the oven, its going to be a rather cold and rainy sort of day in
Tennessee. George is making arabic stuffed grape leaves, I stuffed
celery sticks and baked a delicious carrot cake with honey and pulp
from juicing my carrots and apples. I warmed the juice and stirred it
with a fresh cinnamon stick while enjoying it and watching the day
break. I'm thankful for another day to share with my loving husband,
George, my family, friends and loved ones.
