I used to think that most physicians are very poor at diagnosing
illnesses. I now know that this is not true. I foolishly thought
that diagnosing an illness was the process of figuring out what was
really wrong with a person's body and running the tests necessary to
confirm the diagnosis.

I now know that diagnosing an illness is the process of figuring out
what is the most common illness that the physician believes in that
has symptoms that are somewhat similar to the symptoms the patient
has.

I used to think that most physicians do a very poor job of providing
medical care. I now know that this is not true. I foolishly
thought that a physician's job was to save lives, cure illnesses and
relieve suffering.

I now know that if a physician is paid a salary, his/her job is to
save his/her employer as much money as possible.

If a physician is in private practice, his/her job is to make as
much money as possible. This is usually done by deliberately making
and keeping as many patients as possible chronically ill.

I used to think that physicians are the most dishonest people on
Earth. This is not true because physicians are not people. They
are monsters.

Hi!

We are trying to bring the PWMEs and their families of Michigan together in
a virtual patient community.

We are also testing out two methods for this. One is forum based and the
other is a Yahoo Group similar in action to this listserv.

Any interested PWMEs who live in Michigan can sign up at:

http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/mimecfs/

&

www.mimecfs.groupbox.com

Please sign up for both and we will decide as a group on which method best
suites our needs.

Thank you!

Jerry
