PERMISSION TO REPOST

Just a reminder about the ME awareness leaflet for the general public now it
is ME awareness month already - it is an A5 leaflet (ie 2 sides of A4 folded)
to give out to the general public, simple and in large print with bold and
boxes to make it stand out.

It is downloadable as a pdf from

http://www.mechat.co.uk/db/tips.htm

or I can send a word copy to anyone who would like one. There is a list of ME
charities on the back which can be tailored for local ones if needs be.

They are handy to put in libraries, docs and dentists surgeries, shop counters
etc and if people are collecting at supermarkets or at fundraising events or
at demos. I give one (or more) to my carers and keep a stack by the front
door so no-one who comes to the house - even a lost delivery man asking
directions - escapes without one :-)

They are also handy to give to friends and family members to distribute - a
good way of getting them to read it without implying they need to ;-)

My friend took a lot to church and put them on the seats (and collected the
few left over afterwards) when they had prayers for ME sufferers in ME
awareness week.

Any comments or suggestions always welcome.

I went to the site indicated in your e-mail regarding the leaflet, Veronica. I tried to just "read" it without downloading it first, and it is not available. If I can't see it, I'm sure not going to download something "blind!"

Don't know if there's a "glitch" in the system or if it's a virus that needs to be downloaded. VERY suspicious!

I know Von (Veronica) for over 13 years now.
One would have difficulty finding somebody I'd be less suspicious of.
I think plenty of others in the UK would say likewise.

Anyway, I downloaded the two files now and there was no obvious problem.

I downloaded it and printed a copy. The link to just read it doesn't work anymore.

Sorry I don't know Veronica.

Sharon.

Thanks for letting me know Sharon - it is ok now!

I think there must have been a glitch when the site was moved and some capital letters in file names were changed to small ones so they didn't match with the code. Ours not to reason why!!

I have been printing out loads of them and so far have given a handful to my grocery delivery man who is going to put them up in their stores' notice boards, to my carers and clearner who are putting them in local shops. My friend is going to take some to church as well. Have yet to get someone to take them to waiting rooms!
