Inasmuch as we are stuck with myalgic encephalomyelitis, how about
changing the initials?
The "ME" thing is too irresistable to misopathists and journalists.
They can pretend it is a selfish disease. Like the me generation. It
is also more difficult to search for and more ambiguous.
I propose a stopgap measure of changing the initials to MEM. It is
not perfect in any way. But it would piss me off to a smaller degree.

Hi Samuel... Yes, I agree, and have always thought that the initials
promoted thoughts as you explained. How about M.E.D. M.E Disease. It is
also an abbreviation of Medical.??
Thoughts anyone...but don't hold your breath. We have had a huge problem
with the CDC changing the name and belittling, in my view, the extremely
serious nature of this illness. Yes, we do get worse, I have. Yes, we do
die from in, and from many organ and cell failures.
