Some of the math used for GPS is located at the Wikipedia article I wrote,

A spreadsheet I made to calculate solutions can be downloaded from the ftp,

The 6 unknowns are calculated from the 12 knowns. Conceivably any 9
unknowns can be calculated from 9 knowns and permutated in any combination.
I don't know how useful this would be but it can be done.
