Welcome. You would probably get a better response in
soc.org.freemasonry. Several Canadians frequent that group which is
moderated.
alt.freemasonry is also occasionally active if you can fight your way
through all the spam and conspiracy nutcases.

Not many actual posts there if you killfile all the cross posts - I've
only seen about 6 posts in the last month or so !

You will likely find a little more activity in the alt.freemasonry
newsgroup, although there seems to be a proliferation of quacks there as
well. Check it out when you have a chance.
