Oh, bad move. Very bad move.

Looney Maroon Award
===================
The Looney Maroon Award is given based on the amount of childish,
nonsensical, funny and downright ludicrous behaviour exhibited over a
particular month. It is not meant to award the greatest overall Kook for
that time, but is meant as a recognition of outstandingly looney behaviour
by an individual or group, real or anonymous, animate or robotic. Nominees
from Usenet and beyond are eligible.

To win the LMA, a candidate must most strongly meet a majority of the
following criteria:

[YES] * Show intelligence off the deep end of the bell curve
[HMM] * Consistently say things that are hideously nonsensical
[YES] * Prove themselves wrong while pretending to be an 'expert'
[YES] * Exhibit a passion for metaphorically banging their head against
a wall
[YES] * Be profoundly ignorant
[YES] * Persistently refuse to allow themselves to be enlightened
[HMM] * Demonstrate a gift for false prophecy
[YES] * Regularly cite questionable sources of information as 'fact'

Show intelligence off the deep end of the bell curve

Weaselled out of a demand to substantiate a claim by asserting that
"all...the world" was substantially different in meaning to "all over
the world"

[QUOTE]
> Since when has Haiti, Indonesia, the Philippines, Cameroon, France, Italy,

Since the ellipsis was subsituted for "over," moron.

You can't expect to get by here with those types of games, dude.

Admitted that his words involved a comparison while maintining that he had
not performed a comparison, then got caught attempting to redefine what it
was that he was not comparing.

Consistently say things that are hideously nonsensical
======================================================
Not evident, though "Can you look at a map?", stated above in response to a
direct question, is nonsensical when the scope of the question is clear.
Perhaps there's opportunity for him here.

Prove themselves wrong while pretending to be an 'expert'
=========================================================
Same evidence as above for
news:9b807747-25f1-47b4...@p25g2000hsf.googlegroups.com

Claim that there were food riots in China failed because it remains unshown,
and in
news:f38d5d12-eccc-43cf...@r66g2000hsg.googlegroups.com,
claiming to be the reputable source of his own information.

Exhibit a passion for banging their head against a wall

"Until then, just shut the fuck up."

Water off a duck's back.

Also see evidence under "Show intelligence off the deep end of the bell
curve"; as if he'll get away with weaselling out of his claims.

Be profoundly ignorant
======================
Only profound ignorance could cause him to assert that "all...the world" was
substantially different in meaning to "all over the world".

Persistently refuse to allow themselves to be enlightened
=========================================================
The whole body evidence quoted here should clearly indicate this condition
to have been met.

Demonstrate a gift for false prophecy
=====================================
Not evidenced, yet.

Regularly cite questionable sources of information as 'fact'

"I am the reliable source."

Hahahaha!

The Looney Maroon Award is given based on the amount of:

childish [YES], lots of laming.
nonsensical [YES], if nonsensical is equivalent to illogical.
funny [YES], there is nothing funnier than a netKo0k asserting himself as a
reliable source of facts.
downright ludicrous behaviour [YES], all ludicrous, imo.

One implicit criterion to deal with, persistence:

I hereby nominate Travis "Trav" J. McIlvenna as a worthy recipient of the
auspicious alt.usenet.kooks Looney Maroon Award.

Seconds, anyone?

Oh? Can you prove that you have feelings?

That's prove as in prove without requiring assumptions.
