This is a gorgeous vintage Limoges piece featuring very fancy
scalloped-edging, oval cupped dish (basket?) with handle, lavishly
decorated with gold applied throughout the rim, body, and handle!

Measuring 4 1/2 inches long, 4 1/2 tall, 3 inches wide, this very
delicate and dainty, pastel pink with gold trim dish will coordinate
beautifully on any vanity or dresser! May be painstakingly hand-
painted.

Hallmarks (see photos): 7-pointed star in green with "Limoges"
imprinted within. "France" is imprinted just below the star in the
same bright color of green.

Condition: With the exception of one minor chip (barely noticeable-see
pic) there are no dings, cracks or glazing and is in beautiful
condition.

Interesting information found on the internet regarding Limoges
History:

"Say the word Limoges and everyone knows a bit about it. But did you
realize Limoges can encompass any number of manufacturers or artisans
making these pieces? Many uninformed people think that Limoges (silent
S) is the name of a company...this is not so. The name Limoges can be
used on any piece that is made with kaolin clay and made in the City
of Limoges. In fact, this is the only French law there is regarding
markings on these porcelain pieces, anything else can be put on a
piece. Unfortunately, this can make it difficult for a collector to
identify different pieces or manufacturers."
