Framed Photo of Boldt Castle on Heart Island in Alexandria Bay NY

A large photograph of Boldt Castle (named after the famous George
Boldt, creator of 1000 Island Salad Dressing as he was proprietor of
the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel in New York City, among other fabulous
accomplishments). The castle was intended as a gift for his wife
Louise Kehrer Boldt, but when she died suddenly in 1904, construction
was halted...George missed his Louise so greatly.

The castle, which has gone under major restoration after decades of
vandalism, is now a major summer tourist attraction at Alexandria Bay
(1000 Islands).

Custom framed, this measures 16 x 13 inches. Picture is signed by
SALLY. Picture and frame are used in very nice condition and roughly
10 years old.

If you have been to visit longer than a year ago, it's time to return
to see the many updates. If you've never been, it's only one of many
wonderful pleasures of the Thousand Islands, NY (located directly
across the St Lawrence River from Canada).
