This superb heavy translucent paperweight, 3.5 inches in diameter and 0.75
inches tall, bears the ship's crest of Royal Navy destroyer HMS Sheffield,
one of the proudest ships in the British fleet. Tragically, the Sheffield
was the first British naval casualty of the Falklands conflict, when she
sank with considerable loss of life after being hit by an Argentine Exocet
missile. The ship's crest with its rope border, crossed arrows, and naval
crown of sails and galleon sterns is etched into a disk of stainless steel.
