And it's up to 32 bucks. I'm going out to count my
packing peanuts and dig up my india ink pens
(should provide archival quality).

Doubt my qualifications are up to his, though! "He
once drove by the Louvre but it was closed. He
thought about the Mona Lisa when he drove by the
museum."

Can't beat that. Well, I DID go to high school
with Alice Cooper.

Too funny!

The only shame would be if eBay slams this auction down because of the offer
to make a crate for it for $140!

Bidding up to $32. Unreal.

(reminds me of that foil protective hat that was up for auction when that
space station was due to take it's plunk in the ocean - anybody here
remember that one?)

Ya gotta love creativity.

And he got bids!

Now if it had been by HERMANN Hess, we might have had a real incident.

Anybody else check this one again today?

It's now up to $51 with 7 days to go.

What a hoot.

His store is about 20 minutes from my office. I'd probably stop by if I was
into this kind of thing (or watches which seem to be this guy's specialty).

I looked at his other auctions, and if the results they're getting are
in any way due to the publicity he's getting from this stunt, "what a
genius" might be more accurate.

This is pretty obviously a joke, how do you think he'll handle it at the
end? Wait till five minutes before and cancel all the bids and
terminate the auction, or let it end and offer to let the winning bidder
off the hook? I doubt he'd try to hold the winning bidder to his bid,
but I guess that's possible too.

He probably has quite a following of devoted buyers.. and they're lovin'
this. I'd bet he's gonna throw in the packing peanut for free from the
winning bidder's next purchase from his "more realistic" items.

Great stunt.
