artprice.com will tell you for free if an artist (in most any media) is
"listed", ie, if his work has value on the market...you have to pay for
the actual prices. I buy their paperback guide that lists some 50,000
artists and carry it in the car with me when I'm out hunting, though I
have yet to find anything really good. As I recall you can get the guide
from amazon.com quite a bit cheaper than their price.
