I mentioned the 100 character limit imposed by Ebay on their searches in a
previous posting yesterday. But I've noticed that if I use Advanced
Search, and if there are spaces between each of the search words (before I
thought they waste space so I never used them) the limit is often not
enforced or applied. At least they don't say it is. This seems
inconsistent. I wonder if anyone else has noticed this?

The limit that you may be encountering, could be just a limit of
characters typed in the search box? That is, if you add more terms to
the search URL, it may work?

That's a good point. So maybe they are counting words, not characters?
But I don't think so because sometimes it comes up, I change a word or two
and I can add 20% more characters. But I'll keep an eye on that in the
future to look for a pattern. 100 character limit is very bad when you
use long negative searches. Which really is the key to finding good stuff
on Ebay.
