Free listing, no shipping, great site... Will save you thousands for
all areas of business other that warehousing the crap that you don't
sell!
I had never heard of this place. Has anyone actually tried it? A lot of
people here are always complaining about how E-bay does things, which if
enough people really feel that way it should leave an opening for someone to
try to compete.

Hard work pays off in the future. Laziness pays off now.
Well, try it and report back...
Actually, it's just one person. I get paid to
post as several different people just to keep
things spicy.
Before this I designed cassette tapes and
aircraft landing gear.

*Hmmmph* I designed the running board and the rumble seat.

My fire thing caught on pretty well.

I took a quick look. seems to have a lot of "stuff". When I have a little
time to kill I will register with the site and try if I see some small thing
I want. Looks like they take PP, which kind of surprised me. I would think
if they offer any real competition to E-bay they would ban people from using
PP on it.

The older we get, the fewer things seem worth waiting in line for.

It never went out of fashion, either.
...which is why your rumble seat was so hot.
Kris
You have been very busy here a few times then alright. Not that much lately
but for a while after E-bay said they were not going to allow neg. FB to be
left by sellers there was a hell of a lot of bitching and predictions that
E-Bay was done for since all the sellers were leaving.

Inside every older person is a younger person wondering, 'What the hell
happened?'
I thought it was kind of cold, actually. Windy back there. Not that I
was allowed to ride there for very long.
You weren't ready to rumble? Glad we bought the van.
Kris
Gimme a break here, I was all of five or six years old at the time. You
may not realize it, but that was a few years ago.

Cassette tapes? Never catch on, 8-tracks will beat
<chunk-clunk>
them out.
Nothing to it, I invented rocks.
Shhh.....you've just changed our exciting road trip van into a
Plymouth Voyager full of kidlets.

No rugrats in my company.
But can they beat eBay's sales record?

Anyone try complaining to ab...@reece.net.au who is he service he is using?
If I had ever considered using or even looking at that site, this spam
swarm has convinced never to do it.

If someone wanted a free site, why would they use a spam-haven
rather than just going to craigslist....where there's no fees to post
OR sell?
We WILL remember ebid, mark.wi...@ebid.com

Kris
You and me both. I had saved the site with the intent to take a better look
later and maybe try it. This crap has me convinced that it is not to be
bothered with.

To err is human.....
But to blame someone else shows management potential.
Before all this garbage started getting flooded here I had intended to take
a better look at it. On first look it looked like it takes PP, just like
E-bay. I will not buy anything on line that I can't pay for with a CC. Does
CL allow a seller to take PP?

I think drug tests are great. Since I have to pass them to earn money to pay
taxes, Everyone on or applying for welfare should have to pass them to get
some of my money.
It's between the buyer and seller.
Only restrictions are (theoretically)
no commercial sellers and local only
(they'll kill your ad if you mention shipping).
Cash, checks, live chickens, whatever you want.
[Lazarus Long]
I've only listed one thing on my local Craigslist, but to my surprise, I
got email from Massachusetts and California wanting to buy. I shipped
to New Hampshire for the Massachusetts person. Turns out Google indexes
Craigslist.
I think that actually contributes to a more well informed
buyer. Even though you're not supposed to list shipping
on CL, as pogo says, people in other places can find it.
When they do, they have to have the smarts to contact you
and expect some shipping costs and all that.
It's not like those eBay buyers that click on the BIN
and then leave negatives 12 hrs later because they
haven't received it yet.
And of course, with CL (or any ads) you get -
"I'm very interested in your 'item' but I'm in
outer bumphukia. I'd like to have my shipping company
pick up your 'item'. Can I pay with credit card?"
To which you always reply that you can only accept payment by Western Union.
Maybe, but I'm not still wearing pendants on my rocks, no matter how
little they cost.

There's talk of paving the road from Bumphukia to Gila Bend.
