Texas Independent Winterguard Cast Auditions!

On behalf of Texas Independent Winterguard, I would like to invite you
to our 2008 cast auditions, which are to be held at Calhoun Middle
School--709 Congress, Denton, TX 76201--on Sunday, September 23, from
10 am to 6 pm. Please arrive no later than 9:45 am for registration
(There is a $40 non refundable registration fee that will be applied
to your dues),

2008 Cast Auditions will provide you with a great introduction to the
newest independent winterguard program in the Dallas / Fort Worth
area. Our instructional staff has prepared a fun and challenging
program for the 2008 season and can't wait for you to be a part of it.

Wear clothes that you are able to move in easily - preferably black
dance attire. If you are interested in trying out for a weapon spot,
please bring your own rifle/sabre. We will have a limited number
available.

The morning will start off with a brief staff introduction and
paperwork session, and then proceed to a movement class where you will
become familiar with many of the movement techniques that will be used
throughout the season.

After a much-deserved lunch break, you will begin on flag block.
During this block you will learn all our flag warm-ups as well as a
brief flag statement that will be performed at the end of the day.
After flag block you will have the option of auditioning for a weapon
spot or continuing on flag.

If you have the desire to dance, perform, or spin and have the
willingness to work hard and learn new things, then we have a spot for
you. No experience is required! Texas Independent Winterguard is open
to any male or female - ages 14 to 22 - who is not currently a member
of any scholastic winterguard program.
