Why keep responding to him ? A concerted (non-)effort would probably
shut him up, wouldn't it ?
Probably I'll be flamed now, and I will take great pleasure in ignoring
it forever... And go away, leading a happy and fulfilling life anyway...

and I was sure some of those people would be interested in
the new book by the then GSG and his wife on the Gnostic Mass.
In a similar vein, when I ordered James A. Eshelman's book
"The Mystical & Magical System of the A.'.A.'." after it
had been announced on the Thelema echo, I brought a copy
to an OTO meeting to pass around. Ditto, the Lon Milo
Duquette Enochian video which I'd heard about from a friend
in San Diego.
The second time I saw Chris after that was when I went to
the Leo Gnostic Mass in late July, 1995. One of the Oasis
masters suggested that I be one of the children in the Mass
against Chris being the other child. I declined. Chris
brought his girlfriend Vanessa to the Mass and I politely
introduced myself to her. After they departed I remarked
to Chris's brother Eric that Chris and Vanessa made a good
couple and Eric said yes they had decided that themselves.
By this time I was well onto my next relationship with somebody
much closer to my age, etc., etc., etc.
The other night I asked somebody what a "TRO" was as it's not
a term I'm familiar with (thank the gods). I never threatened
Chris or anybody near him, never showed up at or near his house
after we stopped seeing each other, never haunted places he
hung out (smoked filled coffee shops where he could talk about
drugs and botanicals). I was upset for a couple of days and
then I quickly got over it and moved on and thankfully didn't
catch any STD's from him in the process.
End of story. Why he's got a bone to pick with me now I haven't
a clue. But seeing how as I respect several of the people
he's attacking at the same time, I guess I'm in good company.

Person A creates additional accounts purporting to be people backing his
opinions (see Talesin, Wiccantree, Fiaof93, and Tzimon).
Usenet users quickly recognize and point out these accounts.
Person A dredges up some imagined wrong from the past to lay blame (and the
others' abuse) at the door of Person B, in this case, you.
What happens next is Newsgroup users continue to abuse Person A while those who
know Person B have the conversation we're having now.
All of this make sense? It's happened before.

This discussion disgusts me. I have this much to say:
Charla, you can sue him for emotional damages in civil court, as well
as slanderous communications. In criminal court, he can be proved
guilty of harrassment and assult (which is the threatening part of
assult and battery.) I would estimate that you can make a case in
civil court for around $50,000 in damages. In criminal court, he can
get around 20 years for his actions; I'll be nice and say he'll
probably get around 1-5. Depends on where you hold the case: if it's
in California, no good. In Montana, however, they've got lots of room
in the prisions.
I recommend that you get in touch with your local police immediately.
Don't worry about any potentially embarassing material that may come
up in court. There's no law that says you have to be morally pure to
win a case, and it's clear that even if you were harrassing him, 1. he
didn't report it and 2. you've stopped and he hasn't.
You have rights. Now use them and get this crepulent blissomer into
jail where they'll knock some sense into him.
