|Nice list.

Thanks.

|Two things. This first is that I found your classification confusing.

Suggestions for restructure/reshuffling appreciated.

|People like Trithemius and Ramon Llul (for example) appeared in the
|oddest places.

Suggestions for replacement appreciated.

|The second is that some time ago
|I began compiling two lists of my own. The list enclosed is a very
|rudimentary list of Kabbalists. Compiling the list was a non-terminating
|activity - each Rabbi lead to five more.

There must be Founders of specific Currents within Kabbalistic History
(Luria is a good example here). I'd suggest weeding until only Founders
or Legendary Kabbalists are left. Comparable to looking at Bodhidharma
(First Ch'an Patriarch but just the first Buddhist of that line in CHINA)
or Nagarjuna (Founder of the Madhyamaka School of Mahayana Buddhism).
How long would such a list be for *any* of the classifications mentioned
in my post?

|I gave up when I realised the task was akin to placing grains of rice on
|a chessboard. And the manuscripts ................

Of course. My intent was only to begin with mention of anybody who was
well-known as associated with the art/science. Then I'd weed based on
influence.

|Oh - your list of daemons. The "Dictionary of Angels" (including fallen
|angels) is ~400 pages long. You could be writing for some time.

Yes, but how many of them are specifically associated with the benefaction
or mastery of MAGICK?
