Plaintiff, HERMETIC ORDER OF THE GOLDEN DAWN, INC., a Florida non-profit
corporation, having an office and place of business at 549 Broadway, in the
City of Bayonne, County of Hudson and State of New Jersey, complaining of the
Defendants, says:
1. Plaintiff is a non-profit corporation and, as such, is held in high esteem
by both members of the organization as well as third persons with whom the
Plaintiff has both spiritual and other contacts.
2. Defendants, WANG LI and DALE BUCHOLZ, upon information and belief, are or
may have been members of the Plaintiff's organization or persons with whom the
Plaintiff has had both spiritual and other contacts.
3. The aforesaid Defandants know or should have known of the good name and
reputation of the Plaintiff and the good work done by the Plaintiff for both
its members and other members of the community in general.
4. The Defendants, on or about June 15, 1998 and June 16, 1998 and other dates
both prior to and after these dates, falsely and maliciously wrote and
published or caused to be written and published through the Internet and
private E-mail service providers operated by, Hotmail Corporation and Infonex
Internet Services, the attached messages concerning the Plaintiff.
5. The Plaintiff on or about June 16, 1998 and thereafter, attempted to obtain
a public retraction of the foregoing false and libelous statements but the
Defendants have refused and still refuse to so retract.
6. By reason of the foregoing false and libelous statements, willfully and
maliciously made by the Defendants aforesaid, the Plaintiff has been injured in
its good name, fame and credit, and brought into public disgrace and infamy
amongst its neighbors, members and in its community.
WHEREFORE, Plaintiff, HERMETIC ORDER OF THE GOLDEN DAWN, INC., demands
judgement against the Defendants, WANG LI and DALE BUCHOLZ, for damages,
including both compensatory and punitive damages, together with interest and
costs of suit.
