It's called "insecurity". "Jealousy" is also a part of this, as is
"hero-worship".

He's jealous of anyone who isn't afraid of an expanding horizon. Oedipal issues
combined with deep seated homophobia. (Probably confused anal-oral stimulus as
a child)

Hi Paul.
The story is too long to go into here, e-mail me or perhaps Charla
Williams if you care. Suffice to say that your description of
"semi-coherent" and "offensive little turd" are about all one needs to
know.
Tom Schuller e-mailed me and encouraged me to killfile the turkey, and I
think it has reached that point. The amusement factor has just about run
out. So I will henceforth refrain from baiting the guy any further, and
into the killfile he goes. I encourage others to do the same, except
perhaps for Erwin, since he does it so well.
If we ignore him, maybe he'll just post a few all-caps "I HAVE WON
HAHAHAHAHAHA!" messages and finally go away.
Boy, where's josh when we need him...?
- J:.M:.555
well, thank your stars for that!
I think it simply a case of "some are born to Twathood, so others have
Twathood forced upon them".
With the passing of Curley, the apprentices are fighting for the crown.

Yes, that would be good.
Joseph, Ludvig, Richard, Erwin et al,
I'm appealing to you (or so I'd like to think).
No, sorry, there was more to it than that.
I'm appealing to you to give up on dm_telvis and stop resonding to
him. We all know how the exchange is going to go. If you want (and
pay me), I can generate an alt.magick vs dm_telvis dialogue generator
in the style of... oh, what was it's name, erm... Edith, Vera, erm...
Eliza? You know that text-parsing psychoanalysis chappie that came
out years ago.
However, as has been pointed out, the majority of traffic at the
moment is in honour of dm_telvis, and it just isn't worth it.
Go on... you know you want to...

I've already decided to stop. He can't answer my challenge and he's

He has a reputation in both the Seattle and Portland thelemic
communities. I'm not sure where else. When I met him
briefly in early 1995 I thought I had met my first
fundamentalist Thelemite. If you weren't doing things
Crowley's way, you weren't doing them the right way and
his initiator at Horizon Oasis was the neatest thing since
sliced bread.
The next time I had any awareness of Christopher was when
he was posting on alt. magick under the 'Caliphate OTO
fraud' thread and offering to send people zipped files of the
real truth. I didn't see the files Chris was distributing but
I am told they contained material off of both Peter Koenig's
and the Australian SOTO websites. Then he went away again.
The 'Caliphate OTO fraud' period is when he was forging
emails all over the place originating from marsweb. Also
I think several thelemic websites received weird email
from him. The fiaof93 email address was probably the most
common then.
The next I heard or cared anything was when it came to my
attention that somebody had forged a post to look like it
came from me on a drug related board on the net. There are
a lot of people on this drug board who don't like Chris and
somebody dug up old Usenet posts in creating a forgery from
me. Not being a frequenter of drug boards, I would not have
known about this had somebody not posted something to alt.magick.
: But his posts are only semi-coherent, and so I am having

My impression is that he posted something a little awhile ago
that the denizens of alt.magick tried to discuss rationally
and intellectualy with him but he resorted to quoting Ann Rand
(sp.?) and then disappeared before reappearing again for this
latest round.
I doubt if anybody involved in the current rounds of discussion
is taking him seriously (except his girlfriend) but that
many are enjoying getting a reaction out of him.
Anyways your contribution to the subject matter has been
appreciated from this coast of the U.S. All best regards.

Interesting. I have wondered for years why the really experienced folks
out here respond to these trolls, and this thread has raised my
understanding a bit -- it's the humor of it, isnt it? By egging them on,
they keep thrashing, and you find it, albeit perhaps somewhat perversely,
funny.
> If we ignore him, maybe he'll just post a few all-caps "I
> HAVE WON HAHAHAHAHAHA!" messages and finally go away.
Yeah, those driven by centers of Ego generally have a really strong need to
get in the last word. In my experience, the best way to help kill the
thread is to service that need by letting them have the last word. They
think they win, and go away happy. They go away, so we win and are happy.
It's sort of a fluffy bunny win/win situation.
I think I just retched!

What, to do the SUGA Ritual? Bah! Ignoring the screamers is the easiest
and most effective way to deal with them, killfile or no. I will admit,
however, that Josh's unmatched aptitude for the SUGA Ritual is a thing of
beauty to observe. Others try, but never quite deliver it with such grace
and attention to detail. But SUGA isn't the only -- or, in my opinion,
best -- way to handle these gnats.

Material reality contains, inherently, morality?
Morality is a product of a magical worldview. It takes its
justification entirely on the fact that there *can be right and wrong*
that right and wrong exist, are opposing, and are important enough to
act as guides to one's behavior, Popper's statement is truly
meaningless.

Hypertext Webster Gateway: "morality"
From Webster's Revised Unabridged Dictionary (1913) (web1913)
Morality \Mo*ral"i*ty\, n.; pl. {Moralities}. [L. moralitas: cf. F.
moralit['e].] 1. The relation of conformity or nonconformity to the
moral standard or rule; quality of an intention, a character, an
action, a principle, or a sentiment, when tried by the standard of
right.
The morality of an action is founded in the freedom of that principle,
by virtue of which it is in the agent's power, having all things ready
and requisite to the performance of an action, either to perform or
not perform it. --South.
2. The quality of an action which renders it good; the conformity of
an act to the accepted standard of right.
Of moralitee he was the flower. --Chaucer.
I am bold to think that morality is capable of demonstration. --Locke.
3. The doctrines or rules of moral duties, or the duties of men in
their social character; ethics.
The end of morality is to procure the affections to obey reason, and
not to invade it. --Bacon.
The system of morality to be gathered out of . . . ancient sages falls
very short of that delivered in the gospel. --Swift.
4. The practice of the moral duties; rectitude of life; conformity to
the standard of right; virtue; as, we often admire the politeness of
men whose morality we question.
5. A kind of allegorical play, so termed because it consisted of
discourses in praise of morality between actors representing such
characters as Charity, Faith, Death, Vice, etc. Such plays were
occasionally exhibited as late as the reign of Henry VIII. --Strutt.
6. Intent; meaning; moral. [Obs.]
Taketh the morality thereof, good men. --Chaucer.
From WordNet (r) 1.6 (wn)
morality n 1: concern with the distinction between good and evil or
right and wrong; right or good conduct [ant: {immorality}] 2:
motivation based on ideas of right and wrong [syn: {ethical motive},
{ethics}, {morals}]

Cro, eloquently.
Hehehe mine certainly does. It took just such an interaction for me to
identify what my True Will really is.
Often, when one is lost, it's easy to take guidance from someone else.
For a while, one's Will (not necessarily True) mirrors the guide's.
From that point on, the guide controls further development. A good
guide will eventually awake his or her student to their True Will; a
bad or at least selfish guide will maintain the unity of Will at the
cost of the student's own self.
If that makes any sense.
An example:
Mary is spiritually floundering. Something of an agnostic, she feels
somehow 'empty' and decides that this emptiness is due to her
spiritual choices. Unfortunately, Mary doesn't happen onto even
something like the Catholic Church: she happens onto a Scientology
"mission." She quickly becomes attached. Scientology happily defines
and fills her void, at an ultimate cost of at least several thousand
dollars, and at most, her life.
On the other hand, I was spiritually (and otherwise) floundering. An
agnostic, but more importantly a failure, I was essentially living
from moment to moment. The future was a vague and distant dream. Under
the tutoring of the man who would later become my fiance, I learned
what I really did want and I'm now actively (and delightedly) pursuing
it. For a while, however, I was anchored to his opinions and his
worldview.
It's a sort of childhood.
I'm babbling again, aren't I. Please ask if clarifications are needed.
I'll try again. Hehehe I'll get it right one of these days.
>> 2. By what ethical guidelines does your True Will operate?
Ethics presupposes morality which, in turn, presupposes good and evil.
Fortunately, I do ascribe a sort of good and evil to the world, so I
can tell you that my True Will operates, in moral terms, as an
extension of my sense of personal honor and compassion.
Where on earth did I pick up this almost Germanic grammar?

What's your problem with anal sex, anyway? I know plenty of people who enjoy

Ehh. Whaddya mean by "communicate?" One of the metaphors I really liked was the
astronomy one . . . that planets have their orbits, following their "True Will,"
and don't collide or interfere. If you mean communication like gravity, as a
passive understanding of other forces at work, I could agree. But active banter .

Personally, (though I might be mutilating the word here) "ethics" allways
seemed to be more like etiquette or decorum than morality. I consider myself
amoral (at least at an ego level), but my ethical system is charitable,
patient, and merciful. (Not that I'd claim to perfectly exist within it)
Killing, and violence in general, seems unaesthetic. Greed and
short-temperedness beget similar behaviours . . . yadda yadda. My general
behaviour tries to foster organic/living systems and relations in my
environment for aesthetic and intellectual reasons. I don't think it could be
considered a moral issue, tho. Maybe . . . if Zen is "attention!" ethics are
the guidelines to keep you out of trouble until you reach everyday Zen.

Kick back a bit and look at my post in response to "It's an immoral
act to deny material reality." Morality is defined in light of good
and evil, and ethics is the application of morality to action. It's
all in Webster's online, if you'd like to look it up.

Then you have a "right" and a "wrong".
There's nothing "wrong" about it, either. Right/wrong, good/evil -
they're all just ways we monkeys use to organize information into
comprehendable quanta. However, they are obliged to be "magical" as
Elvis would argue because, for example, having an ethical system that
is charitable, patient, and merciful means that there must be an
opposing system (the class logic to back this is available, I just
don't want to type it unless I have to. If you'd like to see it, just
ask.) Ergo, your system is "right" and the opponent system is "wrong."
With me so far? This is "magical" because it's not based on any sort
of objective or rational guideline (no matter how people argue to the
contrary {proof on this also available at your request [Elvis has made
me very nervous of unsupported propositions. Can you tell?]}) but
instead is an extension of Will. In this case, literally.
Morality is magical, but not necessarily magickal, and not necessarily
Judeo-Christian. Morality as we know it is multifarious, ranging from
"That's bad because if I do it, I get hit." to "That's bad because it
is a detriment to the human race."
The best source I can think of if you'd like a clearer explanation is
any college psychology textbook. Look for things like "Moral
Development" the "Moral Emotions (guilt, empathy, shame)", and so
forth. Morality is not an absolute, it is a frame of reference, and it
is and should be different for all of us.

Then do you want to correct the mistake? Cause until there's something
else on the table, Charla's a lot more credible than you.
Karl Marx (a materialist as well) was well regarded by quite a few people. Doesn't
mean he wasn't full of shit. Engels too. Their inspiration, Hegel, a keystone of
modern continental philosophy. People make jokes about him.
Everybody thought Reagan was swell.
Just cause they're pretty don't mean they're a good lay.
To me Cro's a more sound thinker than anyone I've heard try to explain a materialist
morality. (Are you ever going to give that a shot? Or just bitch about how mean we

That's why I put it in single quotes. I meant communicate in the

To quote a gay friend of mine, to a silly striaght boy getting squemish
about anal sex: "What? You've never taken a dick up your ass and you call
yourself a MAN?!"
> Chris and his wife Vanessa are practicing celibacy.
That may be a very serious sore spot with the boy. It may well be that the
"celebacy" bit is simply rationalization for the fact that girlfriend
doesn't put out. She seems to be a major "brain" type, and might have
serious sexual hang-ups that preclude poor Chris from getting any pussy at
all. But since she feeds his ego (and perhaps feeds him literally -- as in
being his main source of income) he doesn't want to give up his one and
only fan that sees him as the great genius he's convinced that he is. Can
you imagine him actually having any kind of loving, sensuous relationship
with anyone?
> Perhaps he can explain to you why. Something about putting

How the hell does that jibe with his recent conversion to scientism? I
mean, the "we are following the curriculum of the A:.A:., letter for
letter, word for word" bit he used to blather about made some kind of
weird sense to include enforced chastity for magical reasons, but "energy"
and "higher"? Isn't that just more "irrational fantasy"?
Without any religious or magical justification for it, this chastity bit
is exposed for what is was all along: da bitch won' give up da pussy!

It is fallacious reasoning to say somebody's hot shit just because they're
popular. That was my point. You want to spread the "Word of Popper" than give us
more than one nonsensical quote from him. Explain what good he did, or what
advances his philosophy produced. No man's word is Gospel.

Criminals in what sense? That they've broken a law of their land? Or in a
religious sense, which would make them "sinners"?
So it all boils down to who decides A) what is "moral" and B) who decides what
"material reality" is.
Care to answer to that? What are the morals that everyone should have? Be
explicit. Also, what is "material reality"? Be explicit.

Interesting.
My personal analogy is of a flower opening inwards.
I could see that. I just get a more electric feel when it happens,
angular motions and the impression of flashing. Like fireworks, too.
I suppose we could just talk the Gnostic metaphors to death now.
Check out his picture. It's hardly the image of an educated scholar, more like

It's pretty cute. The paunchy, unshaven face defiantly glaring at the world who

daring, mysterious, or if he just noticed that his fly is down and is wondering
if we saw it too.

Uhhh . . . dipshit -- the post you re:ed to was mine. Not Ludvig's. Why do you
stress words with LOWERCASE letters? Are you frothing at the mouth? Read the
WHOLE header before you reply.

As much as we might care . . . you were leaving.
If all you're going to do is bitch about people here without ever contributing to
a thread, you might wonder why you're reading what people here are saying in the
first place.

Not when projected as an obvious bit of sarcasm, as can be noted from the
scatalogical "slang" spelling. When it's screamed in all caps as an
obvious expression of thoughtless contempt (like slams about "Uganda" and
"Albania", expressions like "crack whore" and the subject line above) it's
an expression of deep seated thinking, not dramatic effect.

So it's true then? You really won't put out?

THAT IS ABSOLUTELY UNTRUE.

I NEVER SAID THAT. YOU DID. YOUR JEALOUSY IS VERY UGLY. THOUGH
I WILL TAKE IT AS A BACK HANDED COMPLIMENT.

RIGHT OR WRONG,
WHATEVER I DO, I DO WITH TOTAL FOCUS. I TESTED THAT METHOD WITH
THE SCIENTIFIC METHOD, AND IT FAILED.

EXCUSE ME, BUT YOU KNOW NOTHING OF CURRENT CIRCUMSTANCES OF MY PERSONAL
LIFE, AS MUCH AS YOUR PRURIENCE IS TELLING OF YOUR OWN UNFILFILLED NEEDS.

BE A MAN AND OWN UP TO YOUR DISHONORABLE CONDUCT. JOSEPH.

I'll take that as the compliment it doubtlessly was not intended to be.

If anyone else said that, you would be all over their asses in a cold minute.
I have seen you do it before over perceived "racism" and "homophobia."

Oh, you've added MORE to your web site? I'll have to reload then.

No, you need a facelift, you Marlin-Brando-lookin bitch.
Yes, he has "total" tattooed on his right hand, and "focus" tattooed on his
left.

Yet you're still celibate. I guess Nitwit got to like not having to put out for
you.

Except that you're extremely angry over something over which you have no
control.

What was that phrase you keep saying? Ad hominem?

And you're STILL a joke in the American Northwest. I DARE you to come back.
I notice you did not argue the actual POINT.
She's sticking up for the man she won't put out for. I guess it's a form of
sublimation to show she still cares, but doesn't care THAT much....
d00d: there are 75 million in the ENTIRE American NW...wow! I should
be making some money from that kind of fame...

YOU HAVE SOME SERIOUS PROBLEMS... and not just with common sense.
CHECK YOUR FACTS, BITCH.
It's hard to tell if the look is supposed to be coy, charming,

So what makes you think newsgroups, even ones that don't exist, are public? Do
you read yours from the library because you don't have a computer? That might
be considered public.
>> WHY DON'T THE girls LIKE YOU , LUDWIG?
Actually, the girls like me just fine. Before I got married, I had more than my
share of girlfriends around the Bay Area.
>WHY DOES IT MAKE YOU SO ANGRY YOU
>> WANT TO TAKE IT BY FORCE?
Why does WHAT make so angry? Have you lost the thread of your own post here, or
are you actually accusing me of a crime?
>BUT YOU DON'T EVEN HAVE THE BALLS TO HANDLE THE
>> CRIMINAL ...
Handle the criminal? Handle WHAT criminal? You? Come west, young man.
>> YOUR ACTIONS AS FLACCID AND INEFFECTUAL AS YOUR SILLY "PHILOSOPHY".
As what philosophy? Have I posted my philosophy? What do you actually know
about my philosophy? Please elaborate.
Jeeez, chrissy. You're beginning to get pretty sloppy. Are we frightening you
that much? Are you really so upset that you can't even THINK anymore? Doesn't
matter I suppose, since you won't answer this post anyway.
>CHECK YOUR FACTS, BITCH.
Check your picture. What part of this don't you understand. If you were indeed
so underweight, why do you have those paunchy cheeks? If it wasn't your very
best picture, why is it on your web site?
From being a loser? Not bloody likely.
And still haven't. Must be true.
I notice you didn't argue the actual POINT. Must be true then.
IT IS QUITE FUNNY TO WATCH "LUDVIG" CALL OTHER PEOPLE LOSERS WHEN
HE MAKES 10 POSTS TO ALT.FAN.DRAGONLANCE A DAY, AND MAKES REPEATED
REQUESTS FOR "RAPE PORN" ON EROTIC BINARY LISTS.
AND BELIEVES IN MAGIC!

That the bitch won't give up the pussy. Won't lick the dick. Won't even
give a goddamn hand job.
Does she wince when you touch her? Some kind of childhood sexual abuse
problem? Do the words "damaged goods" mean anything to you?
C'mon, admit it -- you're getting a little punany on the side when Vanessa
thinks you're out "working late". You can tell us, we won't say anything
to her...

Like typing "CRACK WHORE" and "DOES CRACK OFF OF ASSHOLES" and "ANAL SEX"
always in caps? That kind of aging adolescent who never HAS sex?

Wheeeee...!
