the world turned upside down is a novel about the revolution through the
lens of australian stereotypes: the ranter, the digger and the leveler...
the leveler tends to be nomadic, moving between the other two types......
during my membership with the rosicrucians i was taught to divide logic
into three types, categorized by a philosopher (i forget who) into ants,
spiders and bees... due to how they create hills, webs, and honey/hives.
logic based on observation is the ant, gathering dirt from environments
and putting it together into hills... logic based on intuitions was the
spider, pulling it's web and it's patterns out of it's own ass... logic
integrating the two is the bee, taking pollen from the environment then
into itself and creating honey from the integrated process....
science can generally trace itself to england, art to france... both of
them have quite good philosophers. at around the same period, i am told,
were two philosophers... one in france and one in england..i forget who
the english one was it may have been francis bacon. in france descartes.
in france the logic of the spider was taught and in england the ant.....
both philosophers are said to be members of the rosicrucian organization.
when the world comes together so do these two strands of thinking.......
