Many of you probably know that the magic square begining with the
words in the subject and ending TENET OPERA ROTAS appears in The Book
of the Sacred Magic of Abramelin and that it is made up of more or
less Latin words.
What you may well not know is that it was also carved into the wall of
a Roman fort here in Manchester UK and that Manchester museum explains
it as a coded reference to Xtianity. I have 2 questions for you:-
1. Could there be any truth in the claim that it is a Christian
symbol?
2. As it is Latin, what does it mean?
The closest I can get is, "The Sower delays the wheels by his Works."

OK I posted this to 4 groups and had no response at all so I Googled
it.
Wikipedia has much discussion but the best translation is:-
" Arepo the sower holds the wheels {from/with/by} {work/care/effort}
and from there we just need to find something that reads well in
English; I like:
Arepo the sower holds the wheels with care."
