I am intrigued by "juiced" decks and have seen several Ebay sellers
and websites hawking JUICE & juiced decks from $24.99 all the way up
to $200.00 or more.

I want to mark my own cards with a juice system. Are the "Juice Marker
Pens" better than the vials of Juice?
I've seen juice markers from $23.95 up to $100+ all claiming they are
the "best" juice formula.

I do tend to lean toward the idea of the "Juice Marker Pen" over the
cotton swab-vial method.

I have read comments from others that some decks & methods on Ebay are
obvious to even the untrained eye and others say they can't even see
the markings after weeks of trying.

Can someone recommend a GOOD quality Juice Marker supplier (as well as
affordable)?

Any of you guys have experience with any of these juice vendors?

Thank you!

I don't know if I've ever tipped this before, and doing so is going to
irritate the living hell out of magicdom, so here goes.

First the cards, you'll ALWAYS want to use Bee backers, not Bikes, etc.
I use blue backed cards, you'll know why oce you experiment with
juiceing cards.

So here's the big secret for making the "juice" (for blue backed
cards): Take about an ounce of water and dip the tip of a blue writing
pen in the water, just enough to get a little ink in the water. This
creates a well diluted solution, your "juice". That's the big secret.

There are various methods and codes for applying the juice to the back
of a deck. They are not marked like a traditional marked deck, wherein
every card is marked with it's value amd suit. I mark only the high
cards 9, 10, J, Q, K, A, with only a single letter or number. I use a
Q-Tip as the marking instrument.

Learning to read these cards is an artform in itself. You have to
throw your eyes slightly out of focus to see the marks. It's tempting
to make the juice solution stronger so the cards are easier to read.
But in a high stakes game with the Hells Angels this can mean eating
lead if caught.

So there it is kiddies, the secret to making your own "juice". Uncle
Mitch will no doubt be swimming with the fishes when the magic mafia
gets ahold of him after giving this one away.

Thank you Mitchell! So are you saying that all of these "juice"
vendors products are nothing more than watered down inks?
Some of them say they are "special formulas", "secret chemicals"
etc..etc...and some of these marking pens sell for as much as $100.00.

I always thought there was some kind of acid or something like that in
the juice formulas to "burn" or mar the back of card's finish.

Thank you very much for the info...I envy your knowledge.

There have been all sorts of claims made about what "juice" really is.
For awhile crooked gambling suppliers were even selling Ms. Clarol
blond hair dye, rebottled, as juice. Does it work? I don't know. But
I do know that the information I supplied in the other post is the REAL
secret and everything you'll ever need to know. Further, I encourage
you to experiment with your own concoctions, maybe try alcohol or rose
water or whatever with a little ink in it. You may come up with
something that's marketable. And I'm sure you can find blank marking
pens in art stores or here on the net. Q-Tips will work just fine in
the meantime.

I'm sticking with regular old marked cards of my own invention. I've
been taking my fellow man to the cleaners with them for as far back as
I can remember. Reading juicers will only screw up your eyes if you do
it long enough, and I always take the easy route in every endeavor.

Cardsorcerer's Juice kit is very good. If you use a bad juice formula
you are liable to get caught. Go here for information on detecting
cards marked with bad juice formulas.

I agree. I have tried the juice kem deck from www.cardsorcerer.com and
found it amazing. I recommend going to the Card Sorcerer if you want to
make your own juice decks. He is the pro.

Never heard of Cardsorcerer so I wouldn't send them a dime. Provide us
with your Yellow Pages ad, physical address, and business license
number--and I will check you out to make sure you're legit.

Never ever would I send money to some clown who posts from an anonyous
hotmail account...actually two of them. Cardsorcerer must first prove
he is not another fly-by-night internet scam. We get them about once a
month.
