Thanks in advance,
Ed
I have a PC and a G5.
The G5 is for music, DVD's, fun, and the internet.
The PC is for my word processing, email, spreadsheets, cad, and other such
work.
Both are excellent machines and I wouldnt get rid of either one.
Cant tell you much about your flower.
Now everyone will want one <grin>

Well, I know where it comes from and how to change it, and you may be
able to delete it by replacing it with a blank picture - unless some one
comes up with a proper solution instead of a kludge.
Launch System Preferences, and open Accounts. Choose the second tab for
your account, "Picture". You will see a selection of pictures, from
which you can choose. maybe you'll find one more to your taste than the
flower.
If you choose the Edit button, you will be able to put in a picture of
your choice - Mac Help will give you instructions. So if you create a
blank picture (e.g. with GraphicConverter) and use that, your picture
should vanish.
But it's probably better to join it rather than try to beat it, and get
hold of a picture you like - even with a Mac, sometimes these days it's
easier to go with the flow.

I believe that only you will see the flower when reading mail on your
computer. Your recipients will not see it and neither will you if you
read your mail on another computer using web mail at:

A quick exchange of e-mails with Ed Mitchell has confirmed that the
picture does NOT appear in a received e-mail. Evidently it is entirely
local (probably linked to images in the Address Book, if any) and is
purely cosmetic.
So anyone who doesn't like it can safely ignore it.
A remarkably pointless frill, IMHO.
It'll show the image that you have set for your login window. Look
under System Preferences > Accounts > (your account) > Picture.

I used the pictures for printing out an address book, pretty COOL IMHO
:)
