Love is you. Who you are and what you are inside. It is the inner beauty.
This enables you to give of yourself to others without asking anything in
return as Christ gave His life for you.
In one simple answer. CHRIST IS LOVE

I agree on your thoughts about the meaning of the word 'LOVE'. It's a
pity that many of us keep searching for the not existing love of their
life. By doing that they sometimes hurt their lover, partner by taking
off to search the unreachable.

A lot of people has different definitions for love. Love can
be anything, as you can see on the other people's reply.
For me, i agree that love is just simply caring, it defines it
all, but I would ask this, what is the true definition of true love?
ciao
osj
I think if you look at the divorce rate and the abuse rate (verbal and
otherwise), it's obvious that real love is what takes people through
and over the bad times. The sad times. The hardship times. It's
not very hard to love someone when everything is warm and fuzzy
and all is well. It's the hard times where character, honestly,
compassion, and *LOVE* show up. Or they don't. I don't think enough
of us realize that. We take the good times, and attempt to run away
from the hard times. It the hard times when people REALLY need someone
who "loves" them
Just my opinion, but what the heck do I know? I'm still single at 37.
When he bolted for the hard times, ran away from me as much as toward
her, that's when I discovered that what we had was not love. So I
think you're right. Too much "and they lived happily ever after..."
training and none of the "and they worked it out."

Also, when someone you love is going through a tough time and there doesn't
seem to be enough that you can do to help - that can hurt too!

That's naive. True love can be extremely painful. Have you ever
loved someone intently but they didn't feel the same way? Ever had
someone you love deliberately hurt you? Painful love can be very
real. It just isn't very satisfying.

Love is the greatst thing in the world. It's what makes you happy.

I am afraid, I cannot agree with you. I think, on the contrary, on the
Internet it is very easy to find love which you really need.
For no matter what the definition, love is a complex need which resides
inside us, and we need someone else this need to share. I am not talking
about sexual need here. In a much broader sense, I mean.
When you dont' see and don't hear the person with whom you get in touch,
if you are honest enough with yourself, you can very easily open your
heart, and you have a lot of place in your heart, to listen the other
one, and to understand.
Risks, of course are involved, but this is another stage, AFTER Internet.
And it, by the way, much more has to do with the sexual part of a love.
But then in a real life there are also risks involved, a lot of risks,
only if one wants to take them, one has a fair chance to succeed.
Of course it is my opinion, how can I know of a sincere opinion of
someone else?

It can't be pegged down. You can't capture the exact moment the sun sinks
on a camera. You can't capture a beautiful song on tape. because it's
not life. Love is life, it is nothing but real and people know it when
they see it. It hits 'em in the bottom of the heart and there's nothing
you can do about it because love is natural and can't be bottled.

Absolutely not true. Love can never hurt. What hurts is rejection. Love
can be nothing good because love is the opposite of hate and if love was

blow up as a result.

It hurts! Just imagine the person u love has big worries, and there's
nothing u can do... It's the worst feeling I can think of, it really
hurts, just because of love.

For as long as you love me -
I'll always love you.
