I'm a complete novice with keys. I need to make a copy of a sargent key, but I'm having trouble identifying the model. Is there anyway to tell the difference or is it only the thickness of the key. Also, it's a weird key shape. I think it's a 5-pin key. I'm not to sure. Any help with identification would be greatly appreciated. Thank you... more »
Does any one out there know of a spacer for a key machine for cutting a Best key? My key machine sets off of the shoulder and there is no shoulder on a Best key. I have an idea on how to build one, but if there is one out there already made, why should I take the time to re-invent the wheel. Thanks in advance for any assistance.... more »
Just this week at the dealership where I work I encountered my first "codeable" lock cylinder in a tailgate handle on a GM pickup. It worked as advertised, but damned if I know how!
