I am wondering can someone please explain how these things work?
I couldn't see if it only has 1 pick coming out of it or a bunch for
multi-tool use.
I am just curious about the specifics concerning these tools such as:
1) Who makes them and what are the models called?
2) How many feelers do they have and what kind of picks are they?
3) Are these tools geared for specific locks (i.e. certain number of
pins etc...)
Any information regarding these locksmith tools which resemble little
guns would be appreciated.
Thank you!
They are called pick guns and 'bump' the pins same as a bump key does.
There is one 'feeler' with a spring loaded mechanism to give it a
sharp upward movement. A tension tool to put rotational pressure on
the plug is also used as for ordinary lock picking.
It follows that they would not work on a bump-proof cylinder.
Sold through locksmithing suppliers who would be careful to whom they
sell them.
AFAIK serious lock pickers do not bother with such 'toys'. Whether
they work with decent paracentric keyways (eg traditional Yale) I know
not.
Thank you!

If your a locksmith, you can ask at your parts house. They
should have one with instruction sheet you can look at.
