I notice I can't put two spaces between sentences when I use kWord. Can I
change that? I'm in the habit of double-spacing sentences I find it
irritating that I can't do what I want.

I notice that nobody has replied to you. I have no experience with
KWord, but I wonder why you are not using openoffice.org?

Openoffice is such a great office application. Frankly the word
processor Openoffice writer is as good as it gets when it comes to word
processors.

Two spaces after a full stop is standard. I am surprised you have this
problem with Kword.

For the op, with a document open, select Settings, then Configure
Autocorrection ...

Unselect the option to "Suppress double spaces".

This is with kword version 2.0.2 on kde 4.2.4.
