Feral! 2001 will be bringing you a great line up of workshops once
again! Drawing, costuming, writing, and sculpting are among the skills you
can learn this year at Feral!.
"But I can't even draw a straight line! I've never even *tried* sewing
or sculpting before..." Is this you when discussing your furry talents, or
lack thereof? Well, don't fret! Feral! is the perfect chance to help
change that. Even if you do have some experience under your belt and *can*
draw those straight lines, our instructors can still help you harness that
source of talent and inspiration within you!

We've made some adjustments to our schedule this year, adding a few
brand new workshops. Among the new additions is a painting workshop that's
great for learning how to add more than just a splash of colour to one's
artwork, and our Drawing from Life and Nature workshop is now a combination
of two previously separate studies.
For all the details on Feral!, from nighttime activities to daily
workshops, check out our site at...

Drawing Workshops.
Basic Drawing: An informative introduction to drawing anthropomorphic
animals, instructed by Hiker, Krahnos, and Loopy.
Action and Expression: Tips for conveying motion and emotions in your
furry creations, brought to you by Loopy and Seraph. Give your furry
creations a greater sense of dynamic pizazz! :X)
Painting: This is a brand new workshop this year, led by me, Benjamin,
instructing on the basics of the fine art of painting. Essentially, it's a
chance to learn how NOT to make your painting projects turn out to look like
mud! :X)
Drawing from Life and Nature: Our instructors, Benjamin and Krahnos,
will be sharing some great tips on placing your furry creations in full
perspective in backgrounds. Much of the class time will be spent drawing
from still life, human subjects, and outdoorsy scenes!

Costuming Workshops.
Making a Tail: Silverfang will be helping you learn how to make your
very own tail! *swish*
Making Ears: Want to learn how to make your own pair of perky ears?
This is the workshop for you! Silverfang's ready to guide you on your way!
Face and Body Painting: Marlos will be instructing this ever-popular
workshop, providing tips on how to embellish your costuming designs or to
make the face and body painting stand out on it's very own.

Advanced Sewing Workshops.
Starting a Fursuit: Tirran will aid you in grabbing the attention of
throngs of furries at future conventions! The fursuit is one of the best
methods by which one can explore and express their furry self. Feral!
offers you the chance to learn the steps of the process from start to
finish!
Plushie Making: Tirran will be instructing you once again in the art of
creating your own soft and cuddly pal! Plushies!

Writing Workshops.
Writing Fundamentals: Seraph will be instructing the rules of good
writing and various other important skills that an author of furry fiction
requires.
Furry Characters and Worlds: Potoroo leads a how-to session on the
development of realistic non-human worlds and cultures. This is a good aid
in helping you create believable worlds for your furry characters to live
in.

Miscellaneous Workshops.
Mask Making: Build your own mask with paper and paints! The concepts
are simple, but the results can be fantastic!
Sculpting: Pick up on the basic techniques of creating sculptures from
clay or fimo. Loopy's got the know-how, and he'll be guiding you on your
way to make your very own furries in 3-D! No special glasses required. ;X)

Panels.
Overcoming Creative Blocks: Tips for stimulating the flow of ideas for
art and writing. Learn how to break yourself out of artist's or writer's
block!
Advanced Art Panel: An advanced question-and-answer session provided in
a casual setting with the various popular furry artists that attend Feral!.
Performing in Costume: This is a seminar and hands-on tutorial
featuring the general rules of thumb for performing in a fursuit. Potoroo
will be instructing, and will be teaching furs how to act in-character while
suited up. It's the perfect preparation for a fursuit skit!

Our workshops take place throughout the morning and afternoon of each
full day at Feral!. Plenty of free time is left to enjoy the other events
that Feral! hosts, such as the activities and nighttime fun, as well as lots
of time to work on and practice the newly learned and developed skills
picked up during the workshops. :X)
