A vanishingly small number of you might remember me from years ago:
http://groups.google.com/group/alt.lifestyle.furry/browse_frm/thread/f44661974316b7c1/2f26b0791640c386?lnk=gst&q=pyesetz+canada#2f26b0791640c386

Well, I finally *did* make it to Canada! I am now a WINNER fur!
(Yes, Snuhwolf, I know you think it's an oxymoron.) Slight problem:
there seem to be very few furs in the Regional Municipality of
Waterloo, despite the presence of two universities and a bunch of
colleges. I've heard that there's a few out in Guelph, but I have no
contact info for them.

Do you live around here? Crazy weather this year, eh? Do you like
computers more than you like Stephen Harper? Dogs more than cats? We
should, like, do something!

Thanks! I've sent intro messages to Wotan, Tora, and Solstice. Given
the typical response-rate to unsoliticited emails, I'm expecting
approximately zero replies.

That furnation list is a bit frustrating! Many of the "furs'
websites" it links to are just "under construction" pages. Many of
the furs have LiveJournal accounts but don't mention them there. Many
have links to furaffinity, which seems to be down right now. Rather a
lot of the furs don't say anything about themselves that would suggest
any common ground with me--or anyone, really. Still, three potential
hits is nothing to sneeze at, but I will anyway: AAAAAACHOO!

The one's with no update dates on them are actually from around 2004 or
earlier.

I know Wotan's around, I just don't talk to him online too much.

Solstice is on MSN a lot.

Tora, I've not talked to for a while.

I'm just working with what people choose to give me.

Why the hell did you move to canada? Obvious reasons like free-ish
health care system and less draconain drug laws aside.

No, this has nothing to do with "friendliness" and everything to do
with the scurge of spam on our planet's email systems. People who
have to scan through 500 pieces of crap looking for familiar names
won't see my name as familiar, hence my text will never be read.

In 2002, when Bush demanded that all vassal states of the American
Empire send troops to Iraq, Canada said "No" -- and made it stick.
They were the only country of the group usually considered to be
American vassals that publicly and firmly gave the only reasonable
answer. Meanwhile, still today 30% of Americans think there is
nothing fundamentally unAmerican about the Bush Administration. I
don't know what planet those people come from, but they are not my
countrymen.

Recently the RIAA tried to get a law passed in Canada making it a
crime to copy music. 15,000 Canadians told their government that this
was not okay, and so the government ... wait for it ... BACKED DOWN!

Mine is probably the only Jewish household for miles around in this
Mennonite area, where local radio stations broadcast their Christmas
carols in German. I have a 1m² lighted Star of David hanging from my
porch. On Sunday the grandmotherly neighbour across the street
brought me some Christmas cookies, including one shaped like a six-
pointed star. How thoughtful!

I'm still working for the American job-over-the-Internet that I got
after being fired from the job I had for 17 years. Maybe in the
spring I'll get something local.

Canada did send troops. A small force but they still sent some.

Germany sent troops?

George Carlin put it this way; "as long as everyone has pancakes and
cellphones, nobody cares."
Which is an unfortunate commentary on Americans and their veiws towards
civic duty.
Aussies get a fine if they dont vote IIRC.

Interesting. Teddy lives in a Mennonite area too right were you were.
