Begun by the Catholics during the Bush Administration, it went largely
unnoticed by the majority of Christians.
But ever since the US elected a black president, other Christian sects have
begun signing on in droves.
Several signers have specifically named the fact that Barack Obama as their
motivation for opposing US law.
While it is unlikely that any of the actual signers would break the law, the
declaration is intended to encourage mainstream Christians to do so.
It asks all Christians to follow the examples set by Timothy McVeigh and
George Tiller.
McVeigh is the Christian who blew up the US Federal Building in Oklahoma
City.
Tiller is the preacher who shot a doctor to death while he was praying in
church.

Doubtless the same people who complain about
immigrants because they are "illegal" and "breaking
the law".
Sheesh..............

Actually - no.
The Catholics are VERY supportive of illegal immigration.
A way to fill pews in otherwise empty Catholic churches?
The Decline and Fall of the Catholic Church
"In a profile of America's Catholic population, released in
advance of Pope Benedict's 2008 visit to the US, the Pew Forum
calls attention to a demographic shift, with younger Catholics
less likely to remain active in the Church, while Hispanic
immigrants replace many of the "cradle Catholics" who no longer
practice the faith. "No other major faith in the U.S. has
experienced greater net losses over the last few decades
as a result of changes in religious affiliation than the Catholic
Church," the Pew report notes."

Just because a heathen like you doesn't attend does not mean they're empty.
The Pedophile Priests are running out of victims.
Perhaps we should take up a collection for them
or something...........
You mean you gave up being an altered boy?

No, I was thankfully spared the torture of being
raised a Catholic. My condolences on your twisted youth.
Your misconceptions on my rather enjoyable "youth".
You're a really bad guesser.

When you grow up feel free to post again.
Gladly so!

When you lose the delusions of adequacy write back.

Yeah - ones the Catholics can be sure won't report them to the cops.

Sloppy, sloppy, sloppy work, Sanders! Shame on you. Tiller was the
VICTIM not the murderer. Tiller was murdered by Scott Roeder.

Did you notice that Chuck Colson was one of the authors? Nothing makes a
strong moral statement like having a convicted felon on your organizing
committee!
================
Saw an article today about how the religous right wingers are trying to
re-write the Bible because it is " too liberal " and " liberals changed
it " etc. etc. etc.
Good grief.
I see a war coming between right wing nut job religious freaks and normal
people. And I mean a possible shooting war in neighborhoods.
These are the freaks that wanted to ban dancing in Missouri schools and
Danforth was a champion of their cause ( naturally ).

This is actually very GOOD NEWS.
They tried dividing Americans against each other - but that's not working
anymore.
So now, as always happens when right wingers become impotent, they're
turning against each other.
I think it's a good thing that they should spend their resources arguing
over commas in 3000 year-old poetry.
It diverts those resources away from anti-America efforts, and into the
printing and publishing industry.

Yeah, I noticed. There's another Watergate Republican involved, too - but I
forget which one.
Get a haircut, FREAK!
Have you been watching reruns of Footloose all night?
Coming war? Its here. Its been going on for quite sometime. The Taliban
and Al Qaeda are examples of ultra conservative religious extremist.

I have no problem with those folks living their lives as they see fit.
The problem is when they try to impose their standards upon the rest of us.
