Almost a HUNDRED americans killed every DAY by the car crazies on our

texting while driving a felony, democrats go ballistic.

Hey racist filth.

You let us know when the ONLY PURPOSE of a car, or kitchen knife, or hammer,
or bucket of water is to kill human beings.

Oh, and keep us informed when a Glock with an extended 100-round magazine
acquires the purpose of transporting people, cutting steak, driving in nails,
or cleaning up a mess, and then I will be the first to demand others from
trying to ban its possession, use, distribution, and manufacture.

You scumbag sikfuk!

The Enraged Apostate

Right-wing talking points show a popular appeal in
the same way that trainwrecks are morbidly fascinating.
But soon after the desire to be horrified at the spectacle passes,
the realization soon follows that it is all an ugly, bloody mess,
and it will only be cleaned up with leftist methods and a liberal in charge.

"Drivers" is making an argument of perspective.

The left wing is making such a pressing emotional appeal to grab guns by
exploiting this event that one has to wonder if they're behind the
shooting.

The only thing between a tyrannical government and us are firearms.

As "Carwreck" points out, there are bigger threats than guns, but it is
what the pro-tyranny folks are focused on because it serves their agenda.

Part of the problem is that the policy on firearms and the discussion
about that policy are controlled by delusional sociopaths for the
benefit of other delusional sociopaths.

A "tyrannical" government? Right. And privately-owned firearms are so
effective against the government. Let's ask David Koresh how effective
his arsenal was.

Oh, wait. We can't.

Cue the nonsense in 3, 2, 1, ....

> As "Carwreck" points out, there are bigger threats than guns,

Sure. Like climate change. But since we're doing anything about that
either, perhaps we can focus a bit further down the list. Is your
argument that no problem is solvable unless all more important problems
are solved first?

> but it is
> what the pro-tyranny folks are focused on because it serves their agenda.

Sure, parents who don't want to see their children slaughtered or those
who are mourning their slaughtered children are "pro-tyranny." But at
least you don't have an "agenda."

And how about the agenda of Christianists who would like to impose their
religion on others? They got to the 2nd Amendment by skipping the 1st.
Mike Huckabee worships a god who sanctions the murder of 20
kindergartners because public school officials can't lead prayers as
part of their public duties. And he'd like to change that and spend our
tax money worshiping that god. But it's not like he's got an "agenda"
or anything.

I don't, usually - but I figured this would be some exceptional
trollarity with a side order of tastelessness given the subject line.
And not amusing literate tastelessness, either, more of the ignorant,
uneducated bigotry usually only associated with the lowest classes (of
any race, before anyone starts in)

Sadly, while it was classless and tasteless, it really wasn't that good
of a troll.

What item has ONLY that purpose?

A gillotean?

A headman's ax?

An assassin's knife?

An electric chair?

I can't think of many more than have as their only purpose to kill human
beings.

Do you transport people with a copy machine, cut steaks with a copy machine,
drive nails with a copy machine, or use a copy machine to clean up a mess?

Just because something can't be used for those few tasks doesn't mean it has
as it's only purpose to kill human beings.

My suggestion. Less with the emotional rhetoric and more with the objective
reasoning.

Good idea. Let's note that a firearm is designed to be an effective
lethal weapon. Some are designed so that their lethality is inversely
proportional to the skill required to employ them in the manner for
which they are designed.

That doesn't mean that you couldn't use one as a hammer. But does that
matter here?

You see, you have no suggestion to make here. Had only an emotional appeal
been made instead of the reasoning necessary to make gun advocacy like yours
look as thoroughly asinine as it is, you would have found 500 better things
to do than to reply to my post.

But the fact that your subterfuges and inconsistencies of logic have been
torn apart by the reasoning in my post and countless others of your
adversaries makes you uncomfortable, and actually rattled.

It's not really enough for you to characterize the superior arguments of
your opponents as "juvenile" or "childish" or "bereft of logic" or given to

you try that.

Indeed. The only non-state organization that can take on modern
military forces and win is Hezbollah, and they have training more
rigorous than most armies as well as the latest Russian man portable
weapons such as the Kornet EM.

Think Iraq in 1991 - even the battered remnants of the Iraqi military
were easily able to put down armed resistance after G.H.W. Bush
encouraged the Kurds and Shia to revolt, then betrayed them by lifting
the no-fly zone. How long would 1,000 gun owners last against a company
of motorized infantry supported by a dozen attack helicopters and a
couple of AC-130 Spectre gunships? A couple of hours at best.

Despotic governments fall when the military and security forces refuse
to kill enough non-violent resistors to break the opposition, or when
these forces themselves turn on the despot.

Possibly, but I don't really know his mental state. I think it's enough
to deal with his arguments. I think some of the people who set the
terms for this debate are delusional sociopaths based on their long
history of public declarations. But none of the gun owners I've known
fit that description, and neither do many of the serious posters on this
topic.

I think it's a mistake to dance a victory jig based on a feeling of
innate superiority. If you have to declare yourself the victor in an
argument, you're probably not.

I agree that this is an absurd position to take, which is why I offer to
ask David Koresh's opinion the topic. But people who take this position
are at most mistaken. It's unnecessary to attribute sexual fetishism to
them.

> It is BRAINS, not the cache of

I think there's little historical evidence to back up either the
assertion that brains topple governments or that lightly armed fascists
cannot do so. In this country and at this time, civilian armed
resistance would be futile.

> These t.p.g. retards are delusional in believing that the 2nd Amendment

Perhaps it's wishful thinking or just bravado.

In 1957, Orville Faubus, the governor of Arkansas activated the national
guard to prevent the integration of Little Rock High School. Eisenhower
federalized the National Guard and ordered them to stand down. The best
Faubus could do was shut down all the Little Rock high schools for one
year. That's the model for our country. Your remedies are in the
courts and polling places. Not everyone who thinks otherwise is a
retarded delusional or a delusional retard. I think most just need to
study a little more US history.

As always, YMMV.

Well yeah, it does.

"They've been trained by the US of A"
"They've observed how terrorists operate."

The FBI and ATF have been known to do that.

Exactly. They're terrorists. Put them on the NO FLY list ASAP!

Okay, you're right and I was wrong. Seems we're good with OUR terrorist.

I keep forgetting that Obama's mentor was Bill Ayers; not that Bush was
any better...

100% of Obama's mentors were communists, socialists and racist scum.

You keep forgetting that, do you?

Could you be any more of a pathetic ignoramus? Really, that's not a
rhetorical question. Favor me with an answer.

Bill Ayers helped found the Weather Underground in 1969. Obama was
eight years old. In 1970, Ayers went underground to escape arrest by
the FBI after some of his pals blew themselves up in Greenwich Village.
The feds dropped all charges against him in 1974. Ayers met Obama in
1995 when they both served on the board of a charitable foundation.
Here's how dangerous Ayers was: at the time he was a professor of
education at the University of Illinois at Chicago.

Really? And he still managed to kick the asses of the best you got,
once in 2008 and again last month?

Doesn't seem right, does it?

Either Obama's a communist, or a complete backstabbing asshole who
couldn't learn a damned thing from his mentors. ;-D

It's clear that you haven't yet proceeded with doing something in service to
humanity, namely putting a muzzle in your mouth and pulling the trigger, now
that Obama's 2nd term is inevitable, and the country may be motivated to
fixing a Constitution that has been broken for too long.

You and the rest of the t.p.g. crazies can't hope to cope with these next
four years, can you?

Do yourselves AND THE WORLD a favor: use one of those 20 guns you have and
give your regards---not mine, of course---to the mother of a monster, the
Newtown schoolteacher.

So you think the Allies would have been incapable of designing a 5 gal
gas can?
Or no other method was used to transport gas? Wierd.
