Subject: "Drunk Mountie fired gun at hotel ceiling"-ottawa citizen

A drunk mountie fires his service pistol into the ceiling of his
hotel room and gets a five day
suspension from work.

One law for civilians, another law for them. Equality before the
law, in the Charter(1982) is
pretty easy to circumvent. The police simply don't charge their own
as they would a civilian.
Poof, you didn't think the Charter existed to limit abuse by
government, surely not that would
make it a Charter of Rights.

Firearms laws, that's for disarming civilians, get with the program.

Can we find a case of a civilian being treated the same for the same
action?

The reform of the federal RCMP? I wonder if Stephen Harper feels
that is finished
or still a work in progress? Or will they remain a power unto
themselves?
