Hagele, are these two statements less true today than they were in 1999
and 2001?

1. "If a pupil is wider than the laser beam, the
area outside the beam will not be shaped by the laser. After surgery,
the patient will see through the "old", untreated area as well as the
newly treated area. Complications may include poor night vision,
ghosting of images, and star bursts associated with dim light
conditions."

2. "The diameter of the ablation zone should be greater than the
diameter of your pupil when it is dilated, or wide open, as under
low-light conditions. If your pupil is too large, you could experience

glare, light sensitivity, or other symptoms. As emphasized earlier,
individuals with atypically large pupils are not ideal candidates for
LASIK."

dont pay attention to what anyone says, the bottom line is if your
pupils dilate wider than the ablation zone, you will experience
problems. Most lasers have a 6.5mm zone so if your pupils go past that,
expect reduced night vision. Its simple as that.

For fuck's sake, there should be a moderator to pull the trigger on you

That is true... if you are a coal miner and work in almost complete
darkness. As for the other 99.9% of the population, that idea is
irrelevant.
