I can't help but wonder what role, if any, Tiger Woods' night vision
played in the accident that occured in the middle of the night on
11/27/2009. It is reported that conventional LASIK causes a reduction
in night driving performance.

Quote:
After conventional LASIK, 34% of patients had a decrease in target
detection (targets included business signs, traffic signs, [FIRE
HYDRANTS] and pedestrians)...

On average, the higher the myopia, the worse the night driving
performance.

TLC Laser Eye Centers reports that Tiger Woods was a high myope:

Quote:
Tiger was a -11 prior to his LASIK surgery, which is in the worst one
percent of those with nearsightedness.

You would think Tiger would know the location of the hydrant

How can you hit a fixed feature like a fire hydrant... backing out
of your own driveway? Don't you usually know where all the hydrants
and trees are - located near your own driveway?

I was told that a woman who knew Tiger well reported that his [post-
LASIK] night vision is sh*t. Like the rest of us with sh*t for night
vision after LASIK, Tiger should consider having motion detector
lights around his property so that he can see to get in and out of his
drive.

And perhaps he should stop promoting LASIK?

you know what.... for promoting lasik as a vicitm of lasik himself,
he deserves blindness in my opinion.... What a tool.

In other words, if your not part of the solution, your part of the
problem.
