This is apparently a newer version of the mid-size digital controller.

It has the same connectors, but doesn't seem to work with either
the older 1 or 2 TEC laser heads.

I just assumed the first one I acquired some months ago was broken
since the

This one simply turns on the "Internal Fault" LED regardless of what
laser head is attached to it, or no laser head. Even on of the
newer style 1-TEC laser heads that came with it. This newest laser
head and controller looks like the one in the Uniphase G50 manual:

http://repairfaq.cis.upenn.edu/Misc/Lasers/uGreen/G50manual.pdf

except that the connector on the laser head is a HD15M rather than
an HD15F. It's 1-TEC but the pinout is not a subset of that of
the older 2-TEC head with the HD15M connector.

So, has anyone gotten one of these controllers to work?

Thanks!

You are so, so right. :<)

I am glad someone else sees the truth.

:)

Rats, and here I thought you were going to tell me how to get the
darn controller to work. ;-)

And since of the two laser heads I have acquired that may have gone
with it have different wiring, maybe even the controller is confused!
