I recently completed writing a song for a music festival in Kaunas Lithuania celebrating the Virgin Mary.  The festival is called “Giesmės Marijai” (Hymns for Mary) the song is called “Šviesos Marija” (Mary of Light).  The song will be performed by 400 people (10 choirs) amount them the celebrated Kaunas choir Pastoralė conducted by Nijolė Jautakienė.  The concert will be on May 19th at 4:00 pm at the Church of the Holy Resurrection in Kaunas.  The festival will be broadcast live nationwide.  I intend to post MP3’s of the performance at GintareArts.com.

 

Mike Nickerson of the “Come Sunday” jazz radio program on WERU FM in Blue Hill Maine will be sharing some of my music Sunday May 28th from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm EST (USA).  The program is broadcast every Sunday at this time.  You can listen live on the Internet by going to www.weru.org or by clicking here. 

 

 

Neseniai parašiau naują kūrinį vienam iš Kauno Dienų  renginių, tai festivaliui “Giesmės Marijai” vyksianųčiam Kaune.  Daina “Šviesos Marija” bus atliekama 400tų dainininkų dešimties chorų, tame tarpe Kauno choro   “Pastoralė” vadovaujamo Nijolės Jautakienės.  Koncertas įvyks gegužės 19 dieną 16 val. Kauno Prisikėlimo  bažnyščioje festivalis bus transliuojamas per respublikinėį religinį radiją.  Ketinu išleisti MP3’s ir patalpinti jį GintareArts.com.
