grass in flower beds

Could someone reconmend to me the best material to put under the mulch
in flower beds to stop grass and weeds from coming through?

Hi

Try Myopex, a black woven sheet as used by local councils and
landscape contractors. It's quite expensive but it lasts for years and
will stop everything but the most pernicious of things coming through.

Not quite as good, but much cheaper (free, if you have a good source)
is shredded paper. If you don't mind looking at it, that is.
