With kindest regards, Merry Chistmas and happy new year to all you, comrades

Dear Luca,
You are actually in search of answers in two areas, garden design
and use of AutoCAD. The first is a topic of wide interest. I'm sure
you can find information near you at public parks, plant nurseries,
and the wonderful estates in your area. For information about
AutoCAD, start at www.pointa.autodesk.com or www.augi.com.
Good luck,

IMHO, I guess that just Autocad is not the best choice for landscape,
because with Autocad you will just draw, and you'll not have automatic
3D and rendering, as well as information about plants, sizes, etc.
I suggest you to look for specific landscape / 3d software. There are
lots, some of them inexpensive.
I work with two or three of them. (I work with home design and
landscape) and I am able to choose plants by country, sunlight
conditions, water conditions, see how they will grow in the next
years, and something my customers love: I make a photo insertion of
their home's photography + the new landscape in 3D. The effects are
amazing.
You can see some samples of this in my page

Hope this helps,
Patricia
