Without Federal tax breaks, biodiesel from soybeans would cost $5.58
per gallon at the pump! Now how in hell is that giving the USA
"energy independence"???

SEE NEWS STORY: http://www.ajc.com/business/content/business/stories/2008/03/20/biodiesel_0320.html

"Globalization of the American biodiesel industry, though, wouldn't be
possible without lucrative assistance -- a $1-per-gallon tax break --
from Washington. Alterra and other biodiesel producers receive the
excise tax credit for each gallon of alternative fuel that is mixed
with regular diesel."

"It takes 7.7 pounds of soy oil -- or $4.34 -- to produce a gallon of
biodiesel, according to the Food and Agricultural Policy Research
Institute. Add overhead and other processing costs (about 70 cents per
gallon), federal and state taxes (54 cents) and subtract the dollar
tax credit and a gallon of biodiesel could sell for $4.58 at the
pump." - So add back the $1.00 in tax credit and you have $5.58!!!

Biofuels are a scam, the Koreans know it, and it is time the American
people woke up about this disaster.

The Great Biodiesel Swindle - "Most Koreans are now aware that the
prices of black bean-sauce noodles and instant noodles have risen
because Americans are using corn ethanol to fuel their automobiles.
As a consequence of feeding human foodstuff to motor vehicles, 800
million hungry people in the world grow hungrier."

Well, put that's because the idiot Koreans obviously didn't notice
that we're using
Ethanal extract to make Sattelites, Robots, Cruise Missiles,
A.I. Laser Disks, and RPGs to keep their moron asses from getting
run over
by the Chinese in gasoline-powered Buicks.
