The person is looking for the ADMIN password to the Linksys WRT54G
router -
No sniffing will get you that, since it is never transmitted if you
don't know it !!
and yeah - he may not be the real admin, just a hacking user -
BTW - the appropriate group is probably Internet Wireless,
along with a title change.... since it has nothing to do with a
sniffer -

Unplug the WRT54G.
Use a paperclip to hold down the reset button the back of the router while
you plug it back in.
Hold reset down for 40 seconds.
The router will reset to all defaults.
The default userid is blank and password is Admin.
The reset works on all Linksys devices.

Probably not if you didn't already save the WRT settings to a file. If you
did, then it's pretty simple (I know, since I just did it last weekend!)
- reset the router
- log in using the default "admin" password
- upload your settings file
- change the password
- resave the settings file
I hope you read this, because I'm not going to perpetuate the original
misposting by cross-posting to the dell group.
