Difference between Google and Bing?

sites has to be different, but why are results hugely
different?
If I use three search words for my employers business
Bing puts us at the top of the list and we're nowhere
to be found on Google.
These words appear many times in our site. There are
quite a few web sites out there that have links to ours.
What's odd is that just a month ago we were on the first
page of results on Google and now we're not anywhere.

Just my 10p worth, but I think Bing is much quicker than Google at dealing
with changes to pages, and ranks new content as much more important than
Google does.
Google overall for me still delivers higher quality results, but as a
webmaster I've been occasionally very greatful to Bing for making me top for
very current stuff.
(As an example, on my sprawling personal site, I have a page of X-Factor
information ( http://www.richdavies.com/x-factor.htm )
. I put download links and a brief commentary when Joe McElderry won, and
found myself a few thousand hits thanks to bing making me top. At the same
time not one hit from Google.

What keywords are we searching against? In terms of SEO, you have a splash
page as your root page (has this changed between when you were doing well on
Google and now?) and I can't tell as a human reader what keywords are
critical on the "front" page so Google will likely struggle as well. As far
as your keywords being spread around your site, obviously it's important to
keep things relevant through all pages, but I would suggest you optimise per
page rather than throughout the site.
Your site is definitely indexed in Google -
http://www.google.com/#hl=en&q=site%3A+grahamtrucking.com. Have you used
something like the seobook.com rank checker tool to check against keywords
for each of the main SEs? And obviously Google webmaster tools will give you
a lot of insight.

Yes, and it's a temporary change.

So, google is primarily only indexing words on index.html
where bing does it differently? It would only partially
explain why we've dropped on google, but not quite. Prior
to disappearing from google the key words... intermodal
trucking seattle, would place us way down the list but
all those words are on index.html. Whereas container
trucking seattle would place us close to the top.

Never heard of it but I'll pass that on to our designer.
