All it signifies really is that things are unstable at the moment. I

Goggle is aways unstable. Although I would prefer to call it a total
mess. How it manages to function at all, with 100,000s PCs located all
over the globe is beyond me.
The trend is heading in the right direction. :)
And, since I fell from the lower end of 6/10 to the upper end of 5/10
then a return back to a PR of 6 is entirely feasible within one year
profided that the trend of a rapid jump in backwards links continues to
happen. Alexa says I have 198 backwards links. Google was placing it
at 11. But, 33 has been popping up quite regularly. IF thy continute
to add all my internal links and DMOZ directory links BACK, then my
backwards count would be in the 200 range. That is a lot better than
11!

I have been tracking my home page in Google since Sept 12,

The original format ranked #16, and looked radically different from the
present version. It was basically a sitemap with a bunch of text that
did not really say much.
Just about every changed I made lowered its ranking. Then I basicall
settled on its present format. Still it hanged around #19 and
sometimes got as low as #25.
Today it is showing up as #7. Due to Google's DC different locations
will report different rankings. But, from my tracking oberservations
that I have made all the other DC's should eventually be reporting
similar results.
Also, the home page anchoring has yet to kick in because I have yet to
upload most of the web pages with the new web page templates. Then
there is the good possibility that the backwards links count will also
continue to get bigger.
For the time being, my home page is in the top 10. Now, people might
actually see it in the SERPS for natural health.
