I have yet to hear what the statistics are for real success in ICSE
(births or even sustained pregnancies) since the procedure started
being widely used some 4 years ago. Keep spending money, keep going
with a 25% chance of success. Are we being slightly misled?

Our personal success with ICSI has been quite good. I am 32 with endo
and 1 blocked tube, and we have male factor problems. First attempt
with ICSI resulted in a twin pg which unfortunately ended in m\c.
Second attempt resulted in a twin pg, but one demised at 10.5 weeks. We
now have a healthy 6.5 week baby girl. Our clinic is in Canada and when
we went through the procedure in Feb 97 the success rate for women under
age 37 was 38%. However, recently they have been running a success rate
of 47%, but I don't know if this high number will continue.

Good Luck!

Linda
