My acupuncturist (marc) told me after detailed diagnosis that I need to
slow down and I must find a way to relax - he suggested
medidation/yoga/tai-chi - any of these that I like. I don't care for
any of these - I'd much prefer a huge punching bag.
I'm apparently low on Yin and Qi and he gave me a list of foods I
should eat more of to tackle this problem. I have scheduled twice a
week appointments with him from now until my RE asks me to stop. Let's
see how it goes.

when i am at acupuncture. i do a lot of deep breathing. take in a deep
breath (count to 4) let it out (counting to 4) and repeat. also think
of relaxing from your toes up to your head. and visualization therapy.
i have written this before, but a good friend of mine is a
psychologist. she talks a lot about visualization therapy. you only
need to do this 10-15 minutes a day. think about what you want to
happen. visualize all that it takes to get it. so right now i am
working on visualizing a sticky, warm uterus that my embryo will want
to implant in and make a home. you can think about the number of
follicles you want, visualize the follicles on each ovary, think about
your dh producing strong, healthy sperm, think about the icsi process
(if you use it) etc... visualize everything that needs to happen. i
hope this makes sense. there is a little bit of research on line about
this. what i know is mostly from my friend. i try to do my
visualization when i am falling asleep and during my acupuncture. i do
feel that it has give me a sense of comfort too.
as for feeling tired, your mind and body have been through a lot. try
and get some extra rest. you need to take care of yourself in order to
proceed with the next cycle. my acupuncturist told me after my first
visit that i would sleep really well that night. so even though your
mind might not feel the results from the acupunture, maybe your body
does.
i hope you can rest/relax soon. take good care of yourself.

Kams, have you tried Pilates? I am a chronic multi-tasker who never
sits still so I am not big on the things you've listed... but Pilates
is mind-blowing... you do the same type of postures as yoga, but it's
high-energy while at the same time meditative. You really do feel more
relaxed even tho you've had a big sweat and totally exerted yourself. I
could do without the hippy trippy trancey music they play but it
actually does settle you down :O)
If you've not tried it before - gyms often give you a free introductory
class..

I have also started acupuncture about two months ago. The last couple
of times I also felt incredibly tired: i am going to my Acu by train
and fell asleep on my trip back (I was glad I do not have to drive!)
Personally I had the feeling it was a good sign that my body needed so
much rest and indeed these very tiring sessions were those that made me
o.
Good luck and let us know!
