We've been working to get Mick potty trained and have had a couple of
successes at his daycare this past week. He will pee in the potty at
daycare but that's it. He refuses at home. Anway, since I still have
2 kids soiling, I'm in the habit of pulling back the waistline of their
pants to figure out which one the smell is coming from. This afternoon
when we returned home, I was leaning over the backseat, trying to
wrestle Noah out of his carseat. Mick came up behind me, pulled my
pants up at the waist and said, "go poop?" I was laughed so hard I
almost dropped the baby. I told him, "no, Mommy goes poop in the potty
not in my pants" I thought I was going to die laughing! :-)

Great story, Lisa. You never know what will come out of their mouths do
you?

A few months ago, Abby was giving my MIL a tour of our house. When they got
to the bathroom, Abby showed her the light switch, then she pointed to the
fan switch and said, "We turn this one on when Daddy poops!"
I was literally rolling on the floor laughing.

BWAHAHAHAHA! :-D

Kids just crack me up! I think these sorts of things are what are
going to be recorded in my kids' baby books.

LOL!!! That is too funny, Lisa! What a crack-up Mick is. :)

The last time we flew, the plane had landed and we were exiting our row--DH
1st, then Rayna (me holding her), then me. As we waited for the people in
front of us to leave (with everyone else in the rows behind us looking on),
Rayna says to DH, "Did you poop, Daddy? Let me smell your butt!" (We used to
say that to Rayna whenever we wanted to check to see if she needed a diaper
change.) ;)

ROTFL.. Did you stink, Lisa? Smile:)))))

That is funny. Smart little guy you got. Shay has NO problem announcing she
farted. She does it in public, too. Such a girly girl. lol

I thought this was a funny story, and I also thought it showed good
positive feedback to the child. You were able to laugh and make a
positive statement to your child that will reinforce that you would
like him to also poop in the potty. I also placed your story on my
blog. Check it out at www.pottytrainingsite.com and keep
laughing as you go through the potty training experience.

Isn't it common practice to ask permission before using something that
someone else has written, especially in print or on a website? Strange.

I realize that it's public, but I agree, Jamie. If nothing else, you
would at least think that someone would ask before using, if for no
other reason to be polite. whatever.

I apologize for using your story on my blog without asking. If you
would like me to remove it I will do so. I am still learning some
things about blogging. However, I do like your story.
