I think SpongeBob is okay, I've watched it with Maya a couple times,
but she's not wild about him, kind of watches in a bemused sort of way.
;-)

I, on the other hand, usually crack up over the show, which really is
quite silly.

Like I wrote in another post, Maya's madly in love with Veggie Tales
right now, especially Bob. She's picking up more and more words every
day, but like this weekend, when we were with our friends going to
San Francisco for some sightseeing, Maya sat in the backseat talking
to herself (the guys went in DH's car) saying "MommaDadaMommaDadaBaby
BabyMommaDaddaBOB!" in this rushed little voice. Kept cracking us up.
:-)
She's still in love with her Bob shoes, and watched her VT's videos
every
day. We haven't seen the Wiggles in a week! Yikes! It must be the real
thing! ;-)

Hello, Kitty...cute. ;-) At least she's not wanting a Bob the Builder
party!
(Not that there's anything wrong with *that*! ;-)

Carolyne in CA

Currently, DS *loves* Bob the Builder (what's with the Bobs??? OK,
it's easy to say, not that DS actually says it!). It's the first
thing he's actually ever watched for more than a couple minutes except
once we watched most of the new Fantasia a long long long time ago.
B-the-B is OK, but Lofty is one *whiney* truck!

Take care,
Lisa
Danny, who didn't know about Bob before his B'day, or would have had
the theme party!

Bob is simply the best - I just feel so sorry for you Americans, who get it
dubbed into American and miss the genius that is Neil Morrisey !!

I've been wondering about Bob! We have a video, and I know nothing
about the show, but I've noticed that when they ask a question, the
intonation isn't exactly American. At first I thought one of the
characters was just kind of odd, but more than one of them has that
speech pattern. Interesting!

Take care,
Lisa, wondering if I can get some real Bob?

We're staying away from Spongebob...on the advice of my SIL, who has a 3year old and says that they are pretty mean on the cartoon, and the one time she watched it, they killed someone. And no, I'm not talking about South Park.
We don't even watch scarey Winnie the Pooh's! Who needs the nightmares? there's time for that when he's older.
We do Clifford and blues Clues more than anything else. I think I have 36 episodes of Clifford taped, courtesy of PBS.
I just read on the Nick Jr. fall schedule that Joe will be the 10am show and Steve will be the 12:30 pm show. I'm so happy about that!
Imagine how many shows I can tape!
-trisha, the cheapo!...and still way behind on newsgroups
