In 1944 the Russians were making dramatic gains against
the Nazis. By March of 1944 nearly all of Ukraine was
taken, Russia had crossed the Rumanian border and Finland
was trying to negotiate an armistice with Russia. The Nazis
were anticipating, to the west, the invasion of France (D-Day).
Germany was losing and their generals knew it. To raise
the chances of the Nazi regime's survival they needed to
split the alliance between Russia and the US and Britain.
Stalin was ever Stalin -- super-suspicious. To split
the alliance the Nazis sought to create the appearance
that the Nazis were negotiating with Britain and the US.
The Zionists played a central role in this plot.
Hungary had fought along side Germany in it's
invasion of Russia, but later in the war thought it's
interests were better served by siding with the allies.
On March 19th of 1944 Hitler invaded Hungary to
prevent the very real threat that Hungary would switch
sides and join the allies.
The Nazis were a boon to the zionists. They shared
the goal of having Jews leave Europe. In Hungary
the zionists Rudolf Kastner and Joel Brand had teamed
up to form the ironically named Jewish Relief and Rescue
Committee. Kastner betrayed hundreds of thousands of
Jews by tricking them to go like sheep to Auschwitz
and in payment the Nazis permitted the select few to go
to Palestine. The select few included Kastner's relatives
and the relatives of 150 wealthy Jews, plus other
members of Kastner's zionist organization. About
1,700 were rescued at the price of several hundred
thousand sent to Auschwitz.
In payment Kastner and Brand had to perform certain
blood tasks. Kastner's zionist organization distributed
postcards to their fellow Jews that had been signed
by previously deported Jews. These postcards had the
appearance of having been sent from a place of relative
safety, when in fact they were from Auschwitz. This was
all done to lull the Jews quietly onto the trains to
Auschwitz. Kastner, in full knowledge of the fate that
awaited them, hid the truth from them.
Another grotesque task assigned to the Jewish Relief
and Rescue Committee was to attempt to save the
Nazi regime itself. As previously stated Stalin was
super-suspicious of his allies, but the continuance
of the alliance was critical to unconditional victory.
The Zionists would sow the seeds of mistrust. Joel
Brand, Kastner's partner, was sent to negotiate with
the allies. He was to offer the release of one million
Jews in trade for 10,000 trucks. **By agreement,
these trucks were to be used by the Nazis only
against the Russians.**
Transport is the life-blood of an army. For Britain or
the US to supply Germany with trucks to be used
against Russia would guarantee a shattering of the
alliance.
Adolf Eichmann himself met with Joel Brand, in late
April of 1944, and set him on this task. Eichmann
had to know that the chances of Britain or the US
agreeing to split the alliance were slim to none, so he
had a Plan B for Joel Brand. After meeting with either
the British or the Americans Brand simply had to return
to Eichmann and tell him that there had been an
agreement and Eichmann would release 100,000 Jews.
What could be clearer? The fact that Brand had met
with the British, had not been detained nor arrested
by the British and allowed to return to Eichmann,
followed subsequently by the release of 100,000
Jews, would tell Stalin one thing and one thing only:
Britain and the US were negotiating with Germany
and conspiring against Russia.
The British were swift in their arrest of Brand.
Meanwhile, Kastner continued with his deceptions.
He teamed up with SS officer, Kurt Becher,
an emissary of Heinrich Himmler, and they continued
the transporting of Jews to Auschwitz while rescuing
the select. Kastner was the go-between, giving sums
of money to Becher for the release of the select. (After
the war, by 1960, Becher was one of the wealthiest men
in West Germany.)
Kurt Becher was assigned by Heinrich Himmler, during
the final months of the war, to be in charge of all the
concentration camps (Special Reich Commissioner).
These concentration camps included prisoners of war
(including British and American soldiers). During these
months Becher acted with impunity. Kastner had
promised to protect Becher after the war. Kastner
fulfilled the bargain, traveling from Palestine to
testify on Becher's behalf. Kastner *represented himself*
as acting under the authority of the Jewish Agency. On
the strength of Kastner's affidavit, Becher walked.
Becher went on to be one of the wealthiest men in Germany.
Kastner joined the Israeli government, in fact,
other Hungarians from Kastner's wartime
Rescue Committee made up a substantial part of the Israeli
government in the early 1950's. Just as Kastner had protected
Nazi Becher, the Israeli government went to substantial
effort to protect Kastner.

One side note.
A number of German satellite countries were in negotiation
for armistice with one or more of the Allies during the spring
of 1944. Had the alliance between Russia and Britain and
the US been shattered negotiations would have been rethought.
