San Francisco, Bay Area and Sacramento Valley - Sea Level Rise Map

The map below shows areas of San Francisco, the Bay Area and the Sacramento
Valley that would be flooded at various stages of sea level rise. You can
select a value of sea level rise using the dropdown box in the upper left
corner of the map. The navigation buttons can be used to zoom in/out and pan
across the map.

The map clearly shows that a sea level rise of only a few meters would
inundate hundreds of square miles of land. San Francisco Bay and San Pablo
Bay would enlarge, covering industry, residences and infrastructure. More
surprising would be the enormous area of flooding that would occur in the
Sacramento Valley. Hundreds of square miles would be underwater there and
the intrusion of this salt water would have major environmental impacts.

This map is not a carefully surveyed and extremely accurate presentation. It
is intended to provide a visual impression of which geographic areas might
be flooded if global warming and climate change continue unabated.

Here ya go, Global Warming skeptics: See the models.

Even the repug Governor, Arnold Reaganegger says Global Warming is real.

What me worry? At 3mm per year its going to take 2300 years to get to 7
meters! We need accurate data not bull shit. What is the sea level actually
doing not what will it do in 100 years, 1000 years or more by some model or
projection? When will we go to the beach or bay and actually observe that
the water is higher than we remember?

Let's face it. humans are destined to become extinct. 99% of all the
species that ever existed on the earth are extinct. It's not unusual and
global warming may not even be the last nail in the coffin.
Hint; Enjoy the moment.

Liberals will be the first to go. They will be the lemmings.
The beach is at the same level that it was when I moved here 30 years
ago. I checked it about a week ago.
