I don't understand why people paint landscapes using water color. Who
wants to look at transparent trees?

They use pastels to recreate historical story scenes, and felt tips for
fashion designs.

These are very naive and gouache opinions

People don't mind looking at transparent cies, do they! (Just thought I'd
slide that one in!)

An artist called Griffin used to do all his paintings of children using
Alkyd Resin colours.
(Seriously - try these. W&N do them. They're excellent! Veeeeery smooooth.)

Another artist used to paint corpses in body-colour.

Yet another avant guard artist used a gun that fired chalky crayons at the
picture. He was arrested for packing a pastel pistol!
