In a narrow window, there is a horizontal scrollbar; in a wide
window, there are ugly grey bands on each side of the window.

There are 24 HTML errors.

There should be a space after punctuation marks (period, comma,
etc.), but not before them.

On hover, the links are black on dark grey and illegible.

Why do you think I like reading a stupidly small font specifed as 8pt? You
might be young and vigourous but those trees are old, and so am I. My
eyesight is not so good and I simply cannot read your text without using my
options to make it larger.

Why is it fixed width?

Why do your menu iems disappar completely to black on very very dark green
when I hover over them?

What's with all the flash, which, when I allow it, does nothing?

Why do you have an advertisement for at casino in there? WTF does this have
to do with bonsai trees? Then again why do you have any advertisents at all?
Do you want me to buy your products of to buy your advertisers products?
These advertisements totally distract form an otherwise possibly usefull
site. I'm out of here.

There is a missing word in the banner on my Safari: "A complete ????
guide" to what? In my Firefox, which has Adblock on, it appears. When I
turn adblock off for that particular popup, it looks like Safari. So,
now you have enough information perhaps to fix it (people do use pop up
blockers!)

The banner is nice but the trouble with nice banners is that initial
niceness for first time users trumps functionality. So, I would say to
make it not so high so that more real content can fit in below before
people need to scroll.

You don't need the red Welcome in the white border and you don't need
the white border. Why take up even more room for nice when there is a
whole world of possibilities for nice with functionality.

The background outside the main show is distracting because it repeats,
doubling the gradients and darker border lines, bits of white... Keep it
simpler, resist all temptations to add fiddly bits.

What's the green bottom rounded corner rectangle right at the bottom
for, is that earmarked for a footer?

I am surprised no one else has pointed this out: the days of using
html tables for design passed with the turn of the new century. xhtml
and css is the preferred method of building web pages in the 21st
century.

the strawberries are totally left field, and serve only as a
distraction.

as mentioned previously, the text is WAY too small, which leads to
paragraphs that are too wide. Ten to 12 words is an ideal paragraph
width.

In main navigation, it's useful to highlight the page the user is on.

the ads are a complete distraction, and worse, they give the
impression you are more interested ion making a quick nickel that
providing useful information.
